Comparisons from inside your own shop
Pricing Intelligence compares each active listing’s price to the average of its shop section, falling back to the shop-wide average when a section is too small to be a fair benchmark. When there isn’t enough data for a reliable comparison, the page says so instead of showing a number it can’t stand behind.
A trend built from real sales
The sale price trend is derived from what buyers actually paid, averaged by month and weighted by quantity. It reflects discounts and variation pricing, which makes it more honest than a listed-price history, and the page labels it accordingly.
Advisory, not automatic
Recommendations are deterministic and advisory. Nothing changes a price on its own. When you decide to act, the change goes through Bulk Edit like any other price update, with a preview before anything is written to Etsy.
