Add text to listing photos in bulk

Images & Media has a new bulk action on Growth and Pro: Add text to photo. Choose the listings, pick which photo to change by its number (photo 1 is the one buyers see first), and type your text.

You control the look:

• up to 500 characters, with line breaks kept as typed
• three fonts: Outfit, Lora, and Bricolage Grotesque
• any text colour, with left, centre, or right alignment
• nine positions, from top left to bottom right
• an optional semi-transparent black banner behind the text so it stays readable on busy photos

Before anything is sent to Etsy, you can step through every selected listing’s photo with Previous photo and Next photo. Text is sized as a percentage of each photo’s width (5% by default, up to 20%). If it won’t fit at that size, Everlyst shrinks it to fit that listing and shows the size it used.

This replaces the original photo. Everlyst uploads the new version first, so a failed step never leaves the slot empty. It then deletes the original from Etsy and puts the new photo back in the same position, with the same alt text. Everlyst doesn’t keep a copy of the original, and this can’t be undone from Backup & Restore. Keep your own copies of any photos you might want back.

Some listings are skipped rather than risked, and each one shows the reason:

• the text doesn’t fit even at the smallest size
• the listing has no photo in that position
• the listing already has 20 photos
• the photo is linked to a variation option, because replacing it would break that link
• another photo update for that listing is still running
